Artwork

Customer should supply artwork on disk or via modem. Camera-ready, color-separated artwork to size is also accepted. If artwork supplied requires typesetting, changes, touchups, or does not meet Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc.'s specifications, we reserve the right to modify the artwork and charge accordingly. Artwork will be billed at $55.00 per hour.

Minimum Artwork Charge  $25.00. We will notify of art charges in excess of $75.00(V) prior to doing the artwork. Artwork will be sized to maximum imprint area unless otherwise specified.

Camera-ready Art  Professional black and white mechanicals and black mechanicals on high gloss paper make good camera-ready art. The following are not camera-ready art: Photocopies, pen and/or pencil drawings, Yellow Page or newspaper ads, business cards, letterheads, and raised thermographic printing. Recommended halftone screen 35-line. Please enclose your artwork in an envelope. Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc. reserves the right to reject any artwork not deemed printable on items in this catalog. All artwork on imprinted items in this catalog is the property of Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc. or its distributors. Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc. cannot duplicate any artwork shown for anyone other than the original distributor. All artwork is kept on file at Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc. for one year unless otherwise advised by customer.

Electronic Art  Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc. accepts artwork created in most professional graphic applications on either the PC or Macintosh platforms. For multicolor screenprinting, vector art created in applications like Freehand, Illustrator or CorelDraw is preferred. CorelDraw files should be exported as Adobe Illustrator format (ai) with all text converted to curves. For Illustrator or Freehand files change all text to outline so the font is not required. Page layout programs like QuarkXpress and Adobe PageMaker are also accepted. Include all placed image files and any fonts used. A hard copy along with the disk  is highly recommended to ensure output match. For single color imprints, scans of camera-ready-art are acceptable as long as the original scanned resolution is at least 500 pixels per inch at actual imprint size. For multicolor screen printing if color scans are supplied an art charge will be necessary to do the sport color separation. 

For halftones, please do not tint any color less than 10% and more than 40% at a 35-line screen.

For the photo image process, artwork can be supplied in any of the formats above as well as scanned graphic formats like eps, pcx, bmp, tif, and jpg. If the original scanned resolution of the art at actual imprint size is at least 200 pixels per inch.

Custom Printed Bags & Cases, Etc. accepts files on both Macintosh and PC formatted floppy disks or 100mb zip disks. We also accept 44mb SyQuest disks, 230mb magneto optical disks and CD-ROMs.

Proofs  Paper - $15.00 (black and white only). For orders greater than $1250 no charge if accessed on Internet. Over $5000, paper proof provide at no charge. Actual - $40.00 set-up charge, plus end price for the bag, plus screen charge, plus art charge, plus shipping cost. Changes to actual proof are subject to additional costs. All proofs must be approved within 3 days of receipt or production delays may occur.

Embroidery Disks  For customer supplied disks, Tajima, Barudan FDR and Barudan FMC formats are accepted. Basic changes to layout can be made (i.e. delete or add a section, reorder sections and resize up to 20%). Resizing past 20% will require a new disk as will increasing or decrease in the thickness of specific sections. Please note that customer supplied disks created for specific colors or fabrics may not be compatible with our products (i.e. previously done on hats may not sew well on bags). In cases such as these, a new disk may be needed.
